1. Listen. Don't interrupt the teacher.
2. Take notes (This is your chance to pull out those cute little notebooks you spend so much time picking out at the store)
3. Repeat back to your helper what she said to make sure you got it right.
4. Ask if you can work through a problem together. (I can't tell you how much this saved me in Math and Science!)
5. Don't be afraid to say something if you still don't have a clue as to what your teacher is saying!
6. Try a problem on your own before you leave the classroom.
7. Schedule time with your teacher at the end of class if you still need him or her to clarify something for you.
Remember that you are responsible for your learning too. If you don't understand it you have to speak up or you'll never get the grades you want.
The teacher won't know you don't understand until you fail the test and you need clarity before you get to the failure stage.
